Off to Kangaroo Island

Early departure from Sydney, up at 3:30 for 4:30 airport pickup for our flight to Adelaide, then another flight to Kangaroo Island... geez that was early!

Explosive sniffing Labrador, checked all passenger bags before we got on the flight for Kangaroo Island... that was fun!

Our plan for the 35 minute flight...

View as we approached Kangaroo Island

 Small terminal...

Early flight was well worth it, this is where we are staying!  This place is spectacular!

The bar is help yourself... oh my!  (and our room is fully stocked as well). The menus are catered to each guest and the food is incredible!

After lunch we went on a cliff side hike... most of the hike was along sheer cliffs... another tough adventure for Sue... well worth the stress.  We saw this Goanna along the way.

 View from the hike

Looking back at the lodge from the cliff side. There are only 21 rooms here. We will definitely be spoiled.

4500 people live on the Island, most of the work is agricultural, then tourism. The island is about the size of Long Island.

This evening we went to one of the National parks to see kangaroos up close. It was called “Kangaroos and KanapĆ©s” but the guides called it Roos and BoozešŸ˜€

Incredible scenery, watching the Roos.

They say hopping is the most efficient mode of travel. We just think it is fun.

Young males practicing their fighting skills.

Another wonderful day. This place is amazing.
