Spent the day sailing in Pittwater Harbor

So, we got to spend the day sailing...  a friend of Cheryl’s sister has a friend in Sydney, who has a friend that owns 1/10th of a yacht.  Going sailing with people you don’t know, seems risky... we were hoping they weren’t serial killers! Turns out they were very nice gentlemen!

Our adventure started with us heading to the Railway... very easy to navigate their system.  And the trains were spectacular. They have seats that can face either direction. You just grab it by the yellow handle and the back of the seat swings to the other side...very cool.

It was a beautiful 34 foot Hanse sailing yacht. We sailed Pittwater bay. We saw lots of giant jelly fish, and our first wild wallaby. We anchored for lunch, and on the way back got to watch a sailing race up close.

Sydney is putting in a new rail system, apparently they had one many years ago, but they decided to remove it.  So, now they are spending tons of $$$ to put it back.  They had to do a lot of work on the streets in order to lay the tracks.  It’s going to be an impressive rail system. They have been testing the cars, but not ready for passengers yet.

Tomorrow we are up early and off to the airport for our flights to Kangaroo Island!
